Frequently Asked Questions

Will checking my rate affect my credit score?
No. Our online rate check tool estimates your APR (Annual Percentage Rate) based on details you provide, including your financial information and how much you want to borrow. However, if you apply for our Personal Loan, we will complete a credit inquiry that will affect your credit score.

How do I qualify for a Ridgewood Personal Loan?
You must be a resident of New York, New Jersey or Connecticut, be at least 18 years old and meet Ridgewood's credit requirements. Unlike for a Secured Personal Loan, no collateral is required.

How much can I borrow?
We offer Personal Loans from $5,000 to $30,000 for qualifying borrowers.

  1. To qualify for same-business-day funding, a completed application and all loan documents must be submitted for approval by 11:50 AM Eastern Time (ET). All completed and approved applications after 11:50 AM ET should fund the next business day. Loans are not funded on Saturdays and Sundays. Applications submitted after 11:50 AM ET on a Friday and that are approved will receive funding the next business day.

  2. APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Loan products and services subject to credit approval. Your overall creditworthiness will determine the rate and amount available to you. Available for residents of New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey only. Rates and terms are subject to change without notice. Rates are effective as of 4/1/2021. Payments will be $30.99 per $1,000 borrowed, based on an APR of 7.24% and a 3-Year Term Loan. APR will be between 7.24% - 15.99% and is dependent on your creditworthiness.

  3. If you are approved for and accept a Ridgewood Personal Loan, we will report the loan information to credit bureaus. This will have an impact on your credit score.

  4. While we don't charge late fees, if you pay late, pay less than your amount due or miss a payment, you'll accumulate more interest and your final payment will be larger as a result. In addition, payments that are not made in full and on time may result in an event of default under your Installment Loan Agreement. Also, late payments, partial payments, missed payments, or defaults on your loan may be reflected in your credit report.
